This one-credit course provides an opportunity for writing center tutors to meet weekly and learn the theory and practice of peer tutoring. Class discussion and assigned reading will address situations emerging from actual tutoring sessions. The final project for the fall semester is a contribution to our collaboratively created Guide to Academic Writing (link to assignment here). The final project for the spring semester asks each tutor to record at least one appointment and analyze his/her tutoring style (link to assignment here).
